Nick Lachey is talking about the sudden loss of the dog he shared with his ex-wife Jessica Simpson, Daisy. The adorable dog was tragically carried away by a coyote. Lachey gave Daisy to Jessica as a gift.

Lachey spoke to Access Hollywood on the loss of his once shared pet: “I think a lot of people forget that Daisy was my dog too — for years.” Even though he was upset by the news, Lachey admits, “”I didn’t reach out to her [Jessica Simpson]. “I’m sure she was upset … I was upset … It was sad to hear that happened, but it’s part of the cycle of life.”

Jessica Simpson took to her Twitter and tried her hardest to try and get her dog back, however, the search lasted several days and proved to be pointless since the coyote had taken her and it wasn’t merely a case of the dog being lost. Truly such a sad loss.

Experterna avbryter sökande efter Daisy :(

=(((((((( Åhhh jag finner inga ord.. Såg Private Valentine igår och började nästan gråta när jag såg Daisy. "Peekabooo". En hel värld av fans sörjer med Jess just nu. Jag hoppas hon orkar ta sig igenom det här. Varför går de aldrig bra för de människorna som inte vill något ont? Men de som är elaka, mördar, de lever för evigt? :((

The search for Jessica Simpson’s beloved dog Daisy has taken another sad turn, as TMZ says the group of experts she hired to find her pup are officially calling off their search.

Jessica turned to FindToto.com after her own efforts to find Daisy — who was snatched by a coyote in front of Jess’ very eyes — failed her.

TMZ cites sources who say Jessica and the FindToto.com people have “exhausted every possible resource” to find the Malti Poo — even using tracking dogs, scouring neighborhoods, putting up posters, power-dialing neighbors everything else to find a clue, but came up emptyhanded.

Jess tar hjälp av experter..

A massive search effort is underway to find Jessica Simpson's missing dog Daisy -- last seen in the clutches of a wild coyote.

TMZ has learned Jessica has been in touch with a lost dog-finding service called FindToto.com -- a company that power dials 1000 of Jessica's closest neighbors in Encino, California to alert them about Simpson's situation.

So far, we're told Jess' peeps have only received one tip -- but it was about a pit bull ... not Jessica's Malti-Poo.

Sources close to the situation claim Jess is still "praying" for the dog, but she knows the "odds are against" her.

We're told Jessica is still clinging to hope, because Daisy is "fast" .... and may have seized an opportunity to bolt from her captor.

Update: Daisy <3

Allt är så hemskt :( men jag kan inte låta bli att bli förvirrad ändå. Inga fler detaljer direkt kring vad som hänt förutom att hon blev tagen mitt framför ögonen på alla. Men ändå så går de rykten om att Jess inte var där och att hennes föräldrar var hundvakt mm mm. Jag ska försöka håller er uppdaterade!

It’s a sad but true dog tale. Last night Jessica Simpson tweeted, “My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR!”

Now Gossip Cop has all the details.

Simpson’s maltipoo Daisy, a gift from then-husband Nick Lachey when they were doing “Newlyweds,” was snatched by a wild coyote in front of her own eyes at her parents’ home in Encino, California. Her rep told Gossip Cop, “They saw it happen,” adding, “They tried to go after, but the coyote took it and went.”

The rep says, “Jessica’s freaking out. She’s devastated.”

Gossip Cop wishes the Simpsons strength during this difficult time.

Som alla vet hade ju Jess en liten söt vovve. Här kommer lite info om henne.
Namn: Daisy
Ras: Malti-poo (Malteser-Pudel)
Kön: Hona
Födelsedag: 5-7-2004 (9 weeks)

Den 10:e Juli, 2004, på Jessicas 24-årsdag under hennes konsert. Så överraskade Nick henne med en liten valp, eftersom Jess velat ha en hund väldigt länge.
